Created as a way to expose local music to a larger audience, Eastport a Rockin’ draws attendees from throughout the neighborhood and across the region and is known as the local music festival of the summer. Three stages host more than 25 bands, keeping music a key component of Eastport a Rockin’. Up and coming local bands with a wide range of styles display their talents alongside longtime favorites. Over the years, Eastport a Rockin’ has featured such bands as Good Charlotte and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, and the next big act just might be in this year’s line-up. From rock to folk to roots to blues to jazz to bluegrass to funk, the breadth of music types found at the Festival is sure to please everyone who attends.

After running away from the orphanage run by the heartless Mr. Bumble, Oliver meets the Artful Dodger and is recruited to pick pockets for Fagin. There, Oliver finds a friend in Nancy, but neither she nor the boy are fit for a life of crime. This classic crowd-pleaser is adapted from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and features the beloved songs Where is Love?, Consider Yourself, As Long as He Needs Me, and Food, Glorious Food.

Hospice Cup XXXII
Hospice Cup is a sailing regatta that raises funds for hospice care in our region. With our 2013 focus on raising funds for pediatric hospice programs, we aim to help hospices all over Maryland, and Northern Virginia fund such activities as bereavement camps for children, support groups for families and friends and create memory books for patients’ families.
Hospice Cup offers many ways to get involved. From sailing in the event to becoming a sponsor or attending our Shore Party, your support helps us achieve our mission of raising funds for and awareness of hospice care in our region.
